In honor of Black Friday, I thought I'd share this Wall Street Journal article
with anyone who got a sale email today, and thus I'm expecting record traffic since that would be everyone. In a lot of ways I don't think there's anything in here most people couldn't figure out on their own, but it's an interesting article that asks the question "what is full price?" 40%, 50% or whatever% off is the price they always wanted you to pay and anyone who can't control themselves enough to wait for the semi-weekly sale to buy is a sucker. I mean... no I meant sucker. So while you shouldn't go out shopping just because there are sales, that doesn't mean this isn't the bust time to buy. If anything maybe it's the only time.
If you're too busy to deal hunt on a regular basis, check out Hukkster
. You add an item to your "Hukks" and it lets you know when it goes on sale. My girlfriend is die hard user and since we moved to Charlottesville she's about as prolific an online shopper as there is.
